I Don't Know What I Saw, But It Was Something Different

I am not sure what it is I saw on that Spring day in 2004 but it was something different and definately not American Military.

 

I am not sure of the exact date, but it was in 2004 and I believe it was the month of April.  My son and I (he was 4 at the time) were out in our front yard playing and running around.  It was about 3 in the afternoon, was a beautiful warm California day.

 

I stopped playing because I heard some birds making a huge noise in the trees that are located across the street and kiddy corner from my house.  I turned to look and say the birds scattering every which way. 

 

Off to the Left of the trees, about 5 feet out hovering above the street (tree top level) there was this object.  Silver in nature.  But so bright silver the it was almost luminescent.  Resembled Mercury or something.  It was shaped like one of those Sting reys (you know the fish in the oceanthe black and white ones) but it did not have the tail.  There were no lights on it, no windows that I could see, it just appeared to be a solid sting rey shaped silver luminescent object hovering there in the sky next to those trees.

 

It was just hovering there as though it were watching me while I watched it.  It scared me pretty badly so I rushed my son into the house then came back out side to watch it some more. 

 

It just hovered there next to the trees for at least 5 or 6 minutes.  No sound coming from it, no noise nothing not even a hum.  Mind you this was at 3 in the afternoon, there were other people out, cars out, a normal day in our neighborhood.

 

Well, after about 5 or 6 minutes it began to move to the west, at first very slowly, again NO SOUND AT ALL.  Then all of a sudden it just took off like a bullet toward the west (toward los angeles) and was gone in a matter of about 3 seconds.  Just gone as quickly as can be.  I couldnt not even pretend to estimate its speed.  Faster than anything any military could possibly have thats for sure.  It just dissappeared.  NO NOISE not even a slight sound of wind or anything.

 

Well, ever since then I have spent a lot of time looking up into the sky, pretty nervously too.  But have never since seen anything again.  And I have never heard of any mention of it by anyone else, not on the news, not a neighbor who was out that same day.  And I have not seen any other reports of anything similar either.

 

I do not know what it was I saw.  But it was definately something different.
