Please tell me if there is an explanation.

I was driving towards Hallville travelling South when I saw up in the night sky a bright light.  It was a light amber colour, and real close.  At first I thought it was a big light at the top of a tall tower, but out here in the farmer's fields...there are no towers.  So I kept watching it trying to see if it was something and began to slow my car.  As I watched, a second light (looked just like the first) appeared slowly right beside it.  Now I wasn't sure what it was...so I watched even closer.  All of a sudden, the first light slowly went out and the second
