UFO Sphere Spotted in Florida

Our family was working on remodelling a house in Sumter County Florida.  We decided to take a a break.  Standing on the roof of our house, I noticed in the distance a black dot...

 Initially I suspected it was a hot air balloon moving in a west to east direction.

We have Hot air balloons come over from time to time, except they usually move in groups (balloon rally). 

We watched for a few minutes as the object moved closer and closer toward us.  It was moving directly at us and was becoming larger in view. 

This thing appeared to be a silver sphere with a black dot on the bottom.

Then it suddenly moved abruptly to the left (South). I could tell the object was some distance off and still was quite large. I thought at least 50 ft in diameter, perhaps even larger.

There was no sound of any kind that I could hear as emenating from the UFO as it continued to move south.   As it moved away the object climbed and eventually we could not see it.

I photographed the object with the digital camera I was using to take progress pictures of the house (picture below).

 

This occurence was also witnessed by my parents and my brother.   Other than the surprise, I had no unusual feelings.

UFO?  I assume that this is something weird, but maybe some sort of Radar target.  It was definitely not a conventional hot air balloon as I initially suspected.

    Im from the UK but live in the south of Spain.

    On the 1st of Jan 2006 (day time with no clouds) I saw exactly the same thing moving silently across the sky!!! It appeared in the distance and moved smoothly across the sky and over the mountains!!! I was not the only one who saw this object and still to this day  I cannot explain what it was!!! there was no noise, no markings, no sign of propultion (very sunny calm day) and covered a large distance in a small amount of time??

    Still looking up in hope of seeign something again.

    My friends and I saw this same object but at a much higher altitude over Los Angeles a few month ago see my story at this web sight titled Spherical Bright Objects Over Los Angeles..

    On January 28, 2005 it was about 1:28 pm.  I was busy installing a HVAC system, I was standing on the ground looking up to the roof talking to the roofer, when out of the corner of my eye I saw moment, when I turned my head to my surprise I saw 2 spheres, they were flying in a fighter formation as they flew over head following the path of the Mississippi River, they never made a sound. There is something going on, after seeing these Spheres I know we are not alone. This took place in New Orleans Louisiana in the lower Ninth Ward.
