UFO Sighting Photographed in Baghdad

A spectacular photograph of a UFO hovering over military activity in Baghdad has surfaced on the internet today.
Photographs of this quality are rare among UFO photographs, but in this particular shot you can clearly see a disc shaped, metallic object. Upon closer inspection of the image, it appears that there has been no manipulation.
The photo was taken by a US soldier during May of 2006 along Route Jackson in southern Baghdad. Apparently at the time of taking the photo, he was completely unaware of the metallic, disc shaped object hovering above. He is now AWOL from the military, and his whereabouts are unknown.
i know were this photograph was taken as i was stationed there at the same time however i never heard of this incident and the picture looks fake to me to clear when there is so much pollution in the air .however it may be possible because there was a strange unexplained bright white ball reported one night going thru are area no body could account for it not the airforce army navy marines it was reported by are fob and another a few miles away i had radio gaurd and listend to the traffic personally it was weird.

IN THAT SHORT VIDEO SEGMENT, ONE CAN CLEARLY SEE A CRAFT WITH A VERY SIMILAR CROSS-SECTION AS THE EXAMPLE WOULD HAVE IN THE PICTURE IN QUESTION ABOVE, HOVERING ALONG WITH THE CH-46 SEVERAL HUNDRED YARDS OR MORE OFF OF THE CHOPPERS PORT SIDE.
THAT OBJECT CAUGHT ON FILM:
Do not have any vertical stabilizers
Appears to be a rod or cigar shape but a flat disc will appear the same.
Isn't a Predator drone because they cannot hover.
May be a highly developed surveillance version of the original Canadian hovercraft?
Evidently isn't another aircraft or helicopter.
Is not a missile or rocket either.

into the program, after the narrator defined what indirect fire is and discusses the mission and physical limits on artillery in Tora Bora, he states "conditions are tough, and with the world watching, pressure on the troops is immense...", as the scene changes (with an annoying green and black wavy transitional art that you can't miss) from a face shot of a solider in gear to a scene with a CH-46 Chinook nearly hovering along a hillside as it is possibly approaching an LZ.CHECK THIS OUT AND PLEASE COMMENT ON WHAT YOU THINK IT IS?

the bird doesn't move? well neither does the smoke, or the object in question. and as for the oil, you need to open your eyes a little, the demand for oil in the USA is the second largest. i dont have time to spoon feed an armchair patriot, so look at the numbers yourself. whoever controls this obviously profits from it and everthing!!!! that comes from it.
of course oil i dont think is the only reason but i was not duped by 9/11 or maybe i was.

can a picture of anything mettallic in the sky (such as a jet, with a similar distance) ever be looked at in photoshop, and not look copied if that is what you are looking for? i dont have photoshop and i'm not sure about this one. if there were more sources about this soldier who went AWOL i.e. name, rank it would go a long way to backing up the photo and him if he ever decided to go for public support if he is'nt lcked up in solitary, if this was in fact taken by a US soldier. My main question is for those who debunk photo's by looking for copy/paste evidence. do you know what an untampered photo would look like?

That image is obviously a fake! The image contrast of the "UFO" is much higher that that of the rest of the scene. The shadows fall in a different direction on the UFO than on the rest of the landscape. You say that "Photographs of this quality are rare among UFO photographs" but this image has a variation in quality in the same image. I don't deny the possibility of the existence of UFOs but this one seems very flaky.

At least one of these is a fake, and of course it would have to be the Baghdad one here, dated almost 2 years later. Having examine both the images, the Finland one is quite a bit less pixelated than this one.
blew it right up and can see rightand side of ufo is cutoff and also about 25% of right side is out of line
That is one of the worst fakes Ive seen. Half of the people that say its real are friends or admins of this web sight....
Howardab ,this looks real even when zoomed in and without going in to photoshop , and i believe this source after all why wouldnt we be seeing ufo`s over Iraq ?
Just signed up here so please forgive a newbie's question, but what it is that indicates to the first commenter that the object has been cut and pasted in?
Zoomed in, I do see some artifacts around the object, but I see similar stuff around the end of the smokestack that is below the object, for example. Can you tell me what aspects of the picture you are referencing?
FWIW, I don't think I have ever seen a frisbee that thin... but of course it could have been stretched. If so, I would expect some serious artifacts within the object itself, however. The only odd thing I see is the small vertical disconnect in the left part of the object when zoomed.
This thing resembles the small disk object shown in the pictures of that Australian UFO that supposedly rose from the sea, and then was joined by a small flat disk that seemed to fly up into the bottom of the larger object.

I went into Jasc paint shop and zoomed in, and you can CLEARLY see that it was photoshopped. cut and pasted. it almost looks like a frisbe

most U.F.O.s are metallic. it might be fake though. HOWEVER, it might be a gray ship. perhaps they know how to hack into the main system and know of the iraq war?
